GUIDELINES

A: ANY QUESTIONS ON PROCEDURE SHOULD BE REFERRED TO THE Secretary or COMMISSIONER. ( THE COMMISSIONER'S DECISION WILL BE FINAL)

B: ROSTER CAN CONTAIN 12 GOLFERS. ONCE ROSTER IS FULL,YOU CAN ONLY CHANGE A PLAYER ON THE ROSTER DURING THE YEAR IF ONE OF YOUR PLAYERS HAS LEFT TOWN,INJURED OR SOME OTHER GOOD REASON,

C: ENTRY FEE - $160 PER TEAM (includes $10 for hole in one payout (first hole in one )

This year the Green fee for the League includes $2.00 =$1 for Low Nett and $1 skins (not optional)

If you have no Opponent you will play against the Index, but you will be given 2 extra strokes over your handicap and you automatically win the 2 points for the match

PLEASE INTERPRET AND APPLY THE FOLLOWING RULES IN THE SPIRIT THAT THEY WERE CREATED AND NOT NECESSARILY THE EXACT LITERAL INTERPRETATION. THEY WERE CREATED BY YOUR TEAM CAPTAINS TO INCREASE YOUR ENJOYMENT.

HANDICAP WILL BE ESTABLISHED BY USING ALL SCORES DURING EACH HALF THE SEASON (HANDICAPS WILL BE RESET JULY 11TH )

TO ESTABLISH A HANDICAP WE WILL PROCEED AS FOLLOWS

Hand in to pro shop OR Tell them about a witnessed round of golf at Brown Deer or a comparable Course and this will be used for Handicap,

if this is not available then proceed as follows

1st ROUND USE FIRST NIGHTS ROUND MINUS 2 STROKES

SUBSEQUENTLY you will have an established Hcap

(HANDICAPS WILL BE ROUNDED UP AND DOWN ACCORDINGLY .4 AND LOWER GOES DOWN .5 AND UP GOES UP)

All Score Cards will be corrected to reflect no more than a Double Bogey on any Hole

Any player starting his round late will receive a par score for the holes he missed for Handicap porpoises and loose the holes also.

(PLAYER WHO WERE MEMBERS OF THE LEAGUE BUT DID NOT PLAY AT ALL THE PREVIOUS YEAR WILL BE CONSIDERED "NEW PLAYERS" FOR HANDICAP PURPOSES.)

POINTS SYSTEM ...... 2 POINTS PER INDIVIDUAL MATCH AND 4 POINTS FOR MOST HOLES WON BY THE TEAM A POSSIBILITY 12 P0INTS.

LOW HANDICAPPER PLAYS LOW HANDICAPPER. IF ONLY 3 GOLFERS, in case of a "no show" the Team with both players present decide who plays the player present from the other team and this pairing stands no matter if the other player shows up late.

TEAM LEADING STANDINGS TEE'S OFF FIRST, IN CASE OF A TIE TOSS A COIN.

ONCE MATCH PAIRINGS ARE DECIDED ON FIRST TEE , THAT PAIRING WILL STAND. (IT IS PLAYERS RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE HANDICAP OF THE OPPONENT NO PROTEST WILL BE ALLOWED ) IF A PLAYER OR AN OPPONENT FEELS THERE IS AN ERROR IN THEIR OR THEIR OPPONENTS HANDICAP PLEASE ANNOUNCE THIS AT THE FIRST TEE PLAY THE MATCH WITH THE POSTED HANDICAP AND THEN APPROACH AN OFFICER AND IF THERE IS AN ERROR IT WILL BE CORRECTED AND THE MATCH AND TEAM SCORES WILL BE ADJUSTED.

USGA RULES OF MATCHPLAY APPLY, BALL MUST BE PLAYED "DOWN" UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED ON THE NIGHT.

PLEASE NOTE THE MAIN RULE OF MATCHPLAY IS "THE PERSON FURTHEST AWAY FROM THE PIN HAS CONTROL YOU MAY NOT PLAY "READY GOLF" UNLESS YOU GET THE "OK" FROM YOUR OPPONENT TO DO SO AND YOU MAY NOT "PUTT OUT" IF YOUR OPPONENT DOES NOT GIVE THE PUTT. The penalty for an infraction of rules of Golf is Loss of Hole (not 2 strokes) and a par is marked on the score card as the score for that hole regardless of the number of shots taken at that point. if a player plays out of turn the opposing player CAN ask that player to replace the ball until it is his turn to play.

Speed of play has been a problem , if you get behind by more than 2 holes you may be asked to pick up and skip a hole that hole will go on the card as a TIE if a player had a stroke on that hole they receive a Bogey and the other player gets a Par.
